Summary Book Review The Art of Strategy by Moriel Yamanu:
Download or read book The Art of Strategy written by Moriel Yamanu and published by Lulu Press, Inc. This book was released on 2020-08-28 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Interesting books, boring books, long books, secret books, forbidden books, hidden books, sacred books, forgotten books, missing and lost books... Books, books, books... What is this book? Before answering this question, however, there is something much more important: who are you reading this book? Most books are a bit vain - they just want to be read, paid attention to, recommended and discussed, and generally don't care who you are. This book is quite modest, quite simply written, and without much pretensions. It doesn't want to be recommended and discussed, but to be worked on and the described pieces of advice to be practiced effectively. This book does not necessarily want to be read by anyone. It is primarily interested in who you are, who is reading it. This is the most important thing. The "Art of Strategy" is like a flower - anyone can step on it, but few can extract honey from it. Therefore, greetings to you who are now reading these lines. Before you move on, who are you? Are you satisfied with your life? What did you do yesterday? Same as the day before? Remember what you did last week? The previous month? Last year? Have you done something real that is worth remembering? Are you doing something important with your life or are you just wandering around? A life full of dreams, ambitions, and desires that remain unfulfilled. Your past is like a fog, full of vague memories and the same repetitive actions. Will someone remember your existence after you leave or will all your actions be in vain? If you want to discover your vocation, your personal Mission, to have a clear goal, to control your life, to lead others to a new World-State, where every day is unforgettable, your every action leaves a mark in the line of Time... If this is what you are aiming to, then you need to study the Art of Strategy. Because this is exactly the "Art of Strategy" - the Art of overcoming your own weaknesses. The Art of coming out of the fog of delusions and illusions that have been implanted in you and shining like the Sun. The Art of changing consciousness. The Art of creating what no one can destroy. The Art of passing on Hidden Knowledge. The Art of Rightness, which unites all people in one spiritual race and one spiritual language. The Art of leading the Worthy. The Art of living with Flawlessness. The Art of turning your own story into a legend...

Download or read book Treatise on Slavery written by Alonso de Sandoval and published by Hackett Publishing. This book was released on 2008-03-14 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In De instauranda Aethiopum salute (1627)--the earliest known book-length study of African slavery in the colonial Americas--Jesuit priest Alonso de Sandoval described dozens of African ethnicities, their languages, and their beliefs, and provided an exposé of the abuse of slaves in the Americas. This collection of previously untranslated selections from Sandoval's book is an invaluable resource for understanding the history of the African diaspora, slavery in colonial Latin America, and the role of Christianity in the formation of the Spanish Empire; it also provides insights into early modern European concepts of race. A general Introduction and headnotes to each selection provide cultural, historical, and religious context; copious footnotes identify terms and references that may be unfamiliar to modern readers. A map and an index are also provided.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Long a folk image in Europe, the Black Madonna archetype has recently begun to appear in the dreams and other unconscious material of hundreds of North American women and men. Some Jungian thinkers have identified this striking phenomenon with the emergence of a latent feminine force, demanding conscious recognition. The collective dream pattern, so often in advance of consciousness, here asserts a new caring relationship to the Earth and all its creatures.

Download or read book The Sacred & the Digital written by F.G. (Frank) Bosman and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2019-04-18 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Video game studies are a relative young but flourishing academic discipline. But within game studies, however, the perspective of religion and spirituality is rather neglected, both by game scholars and religion scholars. While religion can take different shapes in digital games, ranging from material and referential to reflexive and ritual, it is not necessarily true that game developers depict their in-game religions in a positive, confirming way, but ever so often games approach the topic critically and disavowingly. The religion criticisms found in video games can be categorized as follows: religion as (1) fraud, aimed to manipulate the uneducated, as (2) blind obedience towards an invisible but ultimately non-existing deity/ies, as (3) violence against those who do not share the same set of religious rules, as (4) madness, a deranged alternative for logical reasoning, and as (5) suppression in the hands of the powerful elite to dominate and subdue the masses into submission and obedience. The critical depictions of religion in video games by their developers is the focus of this special issue.

Download or read book The Americans Are Coming! written by Robert Trent Vinson and published by Ohio University Press. This book was released on 2012-01-15 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For more than half a century before World War II, black South Africans and “American Negroes”—a group that included African Americans and black West Indians—established close institutional and personal relationships that laid the necessary groundwork for the successful South African and American antiapartheid movements. Though African Americans suffered under Jim Crow racial discrimination, oppressed Africans saw African Americans as free people who had risen from slavery to success and were role models and potential liberators. Many African Americans, regarded initially by the South African government as “honorary whites” exempt from segregation, also saw their activities in South Africa as a divinely ordained mission to establish “Africa for Africans,” liberated from European empires. The Jamaican-born Marcus Garvey’s Universal Negro Improvement Association, the largest black-led movement with two million members and supporters in forty-three countries at its height in the early 1920s, was the most anticipated source of liberation. Though these liberation prophecies went unfulfilled, black South Africans continued to view African Americans as inspirational models and as critical partners in the global antiapartheid struggle. The Americans Are Coming! is a rare case study that places African history and American history in a global context and centers Africa in African Diaspora studies.
